We can design a fireplace for almost any room in your home. Direct vent fireplaces allow us to vent either in a vertical or horizontal termination. The homeowner wanted a fireplace in the living room but was reluctant to lose the morning sunshine which came in through the window. We proposed that two quarter round windows be added on either side of the fireplace. These windows offered more glass area than the old window while adding character to the room. The homeowner selected the Napoleon GD70 fireplace with a Crème Marfil marble hearth and surround. The fireplace chase was accented with a deeper shade of the wall color and crown molding compliments the window trim. The Natchez mantel in a natural finish was selected to complete this classic fireplace.

This fireplace was added to a family room. The client selected the 42" Caliber fireplace by Heatilator with bi-fold doors. They selected the Aberdeen mantel, hearth and surround by Fireside Furnishings to complete the look. This mantel is a glass reinforced cement product. It is a light weight mantel with the looks of a heavy stone mantel without the structural modification requirements. It also doesn't come with the price tag of a cast stone product.
During
This home is very typical of the wonderful old homes in Upper Montclair. Originally they were heated with coal which is why the fireplaces were so narrow and shallow. In this application we installed a gas fireplace by Valor which has a coal effect instead of logs. We installed a cast tile surround with the hearth made up
of marble tiles and inlaid boarder reminiscent of the era of the home. The installation was completed with a custom wood mantel with matching recessed china cabinet. The mantel and china cabinet was painted white to match the woodwork. The area above the mantel was fitted with a custom mirror to complete this magnificent dining room.
Gas stoves offer great flexibility for rooms not suitable for fireplace installations. They come in basic black as well as a variety of porcelain enamel colors. We carry stoves by Quadra-Fire and Napoleon. We also carry electric models for homes that can not add gas appliances.
